Thai AirAsia X recently resumed its direct flights between Bangkok and Sydney, Australia.

Operating from its hub at Bangkok Don Mueang Airport, the relanch of the direct service to Sydney departed on the afternoon of December 1 (Bangkok time).

Thai AirAsia X offers six weekly flights between the two cities, with three weekly departures in the morning and another set of three in the afternoon. The route was previously suspended since August with the airline citing fleet management and operation hub movement. Prior to the suspension, the flights arrived and departed from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. While the route was suspended, Thai AirAsia X shifted its operations to Don Mueang Airport in October.

With its fleet of 10 Airbus A330 aircraft, Thai AirAsia X offers flights to eight destinations to/from Don Mueang Airport – Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, and Delhi.

Between Bangkok and Sydney, Thai AirAsia X is the only carrier offering flights departing from Don Mueang Airport. THAI Airways and Qantas flights depart from Suvarnabhumi.
